2010:-

It’s that time of year to think ahead to lovely sunny,warm evenings with pint in hand waiting for some pub grub after a run over some beautiful countryside. They are all on Monday evenings, a fortnight apart with the first on the 10th of May.

On the evening turn up at the pub listed before 7.15 p.m. You will then be given clear written instruction for that evenings’ route . The routes are chosen to be as scenic and off road as possible . There will be two route options : one at 4-6 miles long and the other at 6-8 miles long . Arrange to run with others attending unless you really want to run by yourself .

After the run many go into the pub for a drink and a bite to eat . If you are eating and want a table it would be advisable to ring the pub before hand to make sure and say you are with the group of runners.

All runners welcome including from other running clubs . Note : Strictly no unaccompanied under 17’s. Dogs are also very welcome but please bring a lead for the road sections and there may be some pubs who do not let dogs into the bars.

10th May : The Rising Sun, Milland ; tel. 01428 741347 . In the centre of Milland. Take the lane West off the B2070 (old A3) between Rake and Liphook opposite the Black Fox Inn (old A3). Taker : Sarah.

 24th May: The Red Lion, Fernhurst ; tel. 01428 643112. Pub is to the North of the village green, which is on the lane towards Lickfold – East from the main A286(Midhurst – Haslemere Road). Taker: Kim.

 

7th June : The Ship Inn , South Harting ; tel. 01730  825302. From Peterfield take the B2146 towards Chichester . At the tee junction in the village centre pub is on the left. Taker : Tom.

 

21st June : The George and Falcon, Warnford ; tel. 01730 829623 . From Petersfield take the A272 West towards Winchester. Turn left at the West Meon Hut cross roads on the A32 towards Fareham. After West Meon pub is on the right at the next village. Taker : David Robbins.

 

5th July : Pub not confirmed. Taker : Jes but this is not confirmed. Phone Tom if needed on 01730 814098.

 

19th July : The Mill Tavern, Shottermill, Haslemere. Tel. 01428 643183.  Pub is just to the North West of the roundabout by the ponds on the Liphook to Haslemere road (B2131). Taker : Tim Greenwood.

 

2nd August : The Fox Goes Free, Charlton near Singleton. Tel. 01243 811461. From Petersfield take the A272 East to Midhurst. At the mini-roundabout in Midhurst take the road left towards Chichester (A286) for around 7 miles. At Singleton Take a lane on the left by the sharp right bend. Charlton is reached after a mile and a half and the pub is on the left. Taker: Dan Cornell.
