Car Park and Race Headquarters location : On sports field of the Milland Sports Pavilion (grid reference SU 848.276) Nearest post code: GU30 7NA ,1km to the East of the Village of Milland near Liphook . Milland can be reached :-
From the North (Guildford , London etc.) Turn off A3 and go through Liphook . Follow road going South (B2070) . Go under railway bridge then after 1 ½ miles take lane on the left signed Milland and brown sign “Rising Sun” public house. After 2 miles you should reach the middle of Milland at a crosslane . Turn left (Signed Fernhurst) and follow lane for 1km . Sports field on your left.
From the South and West (Portsmouth , Petersfield etc.) Please use this route to avoid narrow lane: Turn off A3 to take A272 towards Midhurst . After Sheet and uphill continue straight on (A272 turns right) to follow B2070 for 2 miles to Hillbrow. Here take the lane right in front of The Drovers pub. After an eighth of a mile take the lane on the left going steeply downhill. Follow this lane for over 2 miles to reach Milland and keep on for a further 1km. The sports field car park is on the left. (From Alton keep on B3006 through Liss to reach B2070 at Hillbrow. Go straight across to pick up lane towards Rogate. After an eighth of a mile take the lane on the left and follow for two miles to Milland as above.
From East (Midhurst etc.) On A272 a mile after Midhurst turn right to follow lane through Iping . Keep on this lane for 2 ½ mile to reach Milland crosslanes . Turn right signed Fernhurst . Sports field on the left after 1km.
Cricket may start on the field after 2.00 p.m. Therefore please clear cars off the field by this time.
Changing , Showers and Toilet facilities : A few toilets are available in the Pavilion and ten port-a-loos will be placed near to the sports field entrance. There have been queues in the past. There is only one shower room . In previous years ladies have got together for a ladies only session policed by themselves. Do so at your own risk ! but you are welcome to . There are hot drinks and cakes available at the end, provided by the Pavilion committee for a small fee . So don’t forget a bit of small change .
First Aid : Will be provided at the finish by a St.John Ambulance . There will also be a sweep first aider on the course . Please do not run if you feel unwell before the start . If you become injured or ill on the course contact the nearest marshal (or get a fellow runner to ) or wait for the sweep marshals.
Note: There will be no cardiac equipment present and hospitals are some way away.
Please be aware the course does have natural hazards : steep down hills , loose rocks , tree roots etc. Please take care and ensure to look ahead as you place your feet.
Rubbish : The course is over a newly formed National Park . Let’s do our best to keep it rubbish free . Please place any rubbish , cups etc. in the bins provided or as close to the marshal points as possible.
Race Start : The start is at least a 10 minute walk away from the car park . Please leave enough time . Take a right turn out of the car park and follow the main lane . Then take the first lane on the right. Go up and past a school . Just after the school take a marked footpath on the left to get you to the start.
Markings : The course will be marked by large black arrows on yellow background signs at course turns. After each turn there will be a small sign as confirmation . Key points will be marshalled.
Medals : Each finisher will be given a medal at the end of the finishing funnel.
Prizes : As listed on the entry form and website . They are to be given out as soon as possible after all winners have been calculated.
