Notes from the race in 2009:-

From the Fernhurst Recreation Ground to the top of “Blackdown” – one of the highest hills in Sussex - and back , using wooded paths and tracks – around 4 miles long with fantastic views from the top.

The Fernhurst Recreation ground is to the East of Fernhurst , just off the green ; reached by taking the East lane from the Fernhurst crossroads passed the church or the lane towards Lickfold halfway down the road from Haslemere.

Medals to be awarded to the first 50 finishers.

Seven metal trophies to be won:-

Blackdown Cup : First open Winner

Fernhurst Cup: First Fernhurst Resident

Ladies cup: First senior lady

Under 12 cup : First under 12

Under 16 cup : First under 16

Veteran men’s cup: First veteran Man

Veteran Ladies’ cup: First veteran lady

Entries on the day only by the pavilion from 10 am .
Fees :
Adults : £3.00 (all runners) ; Under 16’s : £1.50

Race organised by The Fernhurst Youth Club in aid of their funds.
