Grayshott Gallop 2012: Sunday 26th February

"The Greensand Grunt". Explore the beautiful countryside to the East of Hindhead and see what progress they have made on the old A3. Pick a choice of a 6 mile long route or a 11 mile long route , both multi-terrain mostly on tracks and paths. Full clear written instructions will be provided. Children and supporters welcome . There will be the usual delicious soups , meats , rolls etc. at the end for hungry walkers and runners . Please bring money for the charity pot . We have several club members taking part so there will be others to run with . Walkers and other running club members are also very welcome to take part.

Start from Tim Greenwood's house: 23 Kingswood Firs , Grayshott (see map below although this does not have the new A3 tunnel road on). This can be reached by following the A3 passed Liphook going towards London and Guildford. The roads around the South of Hindhead have now changed to use the newly constructed road. Use this to get to new slip road on the left to get up to a roundabout. Here take the first left signed "Bramshott Chase" and "Hammer Lane". This is part of the old A3 going South. Keep on this for around a quarter of a mile looking to the right for Crossways Road . Here turn right to go down Crossways Road to shortly go passed the first Kingswood Firs left turn , drop down then as you rise up take the second Kingswood Firs left turn and go all the way down , take the right fork at the bottom to number 23.

Walkers Please arrive at Tim's house around 8.30am and runners between 9.30 and 10 a.m.
