A 10 mile long multi-terrain race over private tarmac lanes, hard gravel tracks and some paths. The route runs up to the top of the Downs, gently down towards Compton, along towards Chalton, up to Ditcham Park School, along part of the South Downs Way and back down to South Harting to finish on the sports field. There are many superb views around the course.
Note the course this year has been extended to a full 10 miles, with the addition of a finishing loop on the South Harting Sports field.
The race headquarters will be at the sports field just to the West of the village of South Harting on the B2146 Petersfield to Chichester road, nearest post code: GU31 5QA.
The race start is approximately 5 minutes walk away: turn left out of the sports field, up the main road and at the top take the lane on the left.
The route will be way marked and marshalled at key points.
There will be three water stations and every mile will be marked.
The measurement of the course is 10 miles.
This is measured as accurately as is practical over the rough ground in places.
All finishers will have the chance to win one of 2 pairs of Hoka’s latest trail shoes
and one finisher living within a 10-mile radius of Petersfield will be given a free sports massage appointment with
Body & Mind Physiotherapy
Winners will be announced at the presentation
Medals: Each finisher will be given a race medal at the end of the finishing funnel.
Awards: Trophies and prize money will be awarded to the first three overall, male and female, and to the first in each vet category (V40, V50, V60, V70).
Prize money will depend on the final number of entries.
The race director: Andrew Turner
