News items: 

Orienteering: An orienteering club, from the Aldershot area, is organising challenges for groups. The 1st is on the 20th March at Alice Holt. If anyone is interested in taking part please let Tom know. There is more infomation on www.southernnavigators.com 

Headley Fun Run: Bank Holiday Monday 3rd May at 10 am: Organised by are very own Bill Allcock. So let's support him by taking part. Registration at Headley Sports Pavilion from 9 to 9.55. Then a lovely 5 mile route around the tracks and lanes of Headley. £5 for adults and £3 for under 16's or over 60's.

Liss Runners Annual Dinner Dance on Friday the 30th of April from 7.30pm at Petersfield Golf Club House: This years it's a barn dance and a two course buffet at a great value £15 per person. It will a great evening, so let's have a great attendance. Click on barn dance for full details.

Town Mayor Events: Bob Ayer's wife Hillary is Petersfields' town mayor. She is highlighting two charity events coming up she would love to see club members at: Tuesday the 2nd March: Children's Literary Festival at the Rose room of the Festival Hall at 7pm - enjoy a glass of wine and readings from childrens books (£1 a reading). Friday the 26th of March: Cabaret Evening with dinner and dance, showcasing the young from Petersfield at 7pm at the Festival hall (tickets £25). Subscriptions 2009/10 : Club Subscriptions will be due on the 1st of April. It's been set at a very good value of £10 (£5 to us and £5 we must paid to get you registered with England Athletics). It's towards the far lower end of other running clubs subs. Please could as many of you pay the fee at the A.G.M. also letting us know of any of your contact changes or contact Jules Wilson (julesdtw@gmail.com) or Helen Smith (outrunning@btconnect.com) direct.

Rogate Common Cross Country: Well done to all the runners completing the tough course and a big thanks to all the marshals and helpers allowing the race to happen. full results now available.

Grayshott Gallop 2010: It's on 7th March. Starts from 10 am at Tim's House in Grayshott. 6 and 11 mile routes available. It's put on for club members. So let's see as many of you there as possible. Click on Grayshott Gallop for further details. Runners from other clubs are also welcome to take part. Note: The roads around the South of Hindhead have changed. The full page lists the new way to get to Tim's house.

Club's Annual General Meeting : It's on Wednesday the 24th March 2010 at 7.30 pm. Please attend if at all possible. Note: no training that day. Click on AGM for details.

Todays Runner Cross Country League: Dates for the races this coming season have now been set.  First is on the 8th of November 2009 at Queen Elizabeth Country Park. Please click on: Todays Runner page for more details. We are hosting on the 24th January 2010 at Rogate Common.  Please click on Todays Runner instructions for pre.race instructions and after the race click on Rogate Common X Co 2010 results for the results. We need around 15 marshals/helpers. Any volunteers to help out please let Tom know or put your name on the helpers sheet on the club notice board.

Hampshire Cross Country League : The first one is on the 10th of October at Farley Mount near Winchester. Please see Hampshire CC page for more infomation.

London Marathon Guaranteed Places: Well done to James White, Jules Wilson and Tina Clark, winners of our London Marathon places. Better get training after the New Year! If you were unsucessful there are plenty of other marathons around the country or better luck next year!

Pub run Series : The last one has come and gone. Thanks to all the route setters. They were excellent as always this year. Any ideas for pubs. or volunteers for route setters this year just let Tom know.

Clubs' Handicap Series 2009 : First race on 7th April . Then every second Wednesday of the month till September.  See club handicap races for more information and results.

Milland Valley Trail Race 2009 : Sorry to runners of the short race . Due to the lack of marshals and time taken to mark two courses up , it has been unfortunately decided to cancel the short race and fully concentrate on the long one . The date of this years race is Sunday 2nd of August 2009. Click on details for details on the race route and race page for full event details. Results list 2009. South Downs Relay Saturday 5th June 2010: For teams of 6 , each to run 3 legs of an average 6 miles a leg from Eastbourne to Winchester. See South Downs Relay Page for more details.
