Special Mid-summer Torch Run
This is our annual 12 mile midsummer moonlit run over the Southdowns from Cocking back to QE Country Park. We do this under the June Strawberry Moon as an offering to Arianrhod, the lunar goddess (obvs) to bring good health and prosperity to all who wear the sacred red vest...so you're basically obliged to come for your own good!
The date will be: Saturday 15th June
Cross Country and Road Race Leagues:
The club is involved in three different leagues, the Hampshire Road Race League (HRRL), the Southern Cross Country League (SXCL) and the Hampshire Cross Country League (HXCL). Details of all three leagues can be found here:
The two cross country leagues have now been completed for the 2018/2019 season but there are still great opportunities for the club to gain promotion in the HRRL.
ParkRun Meet-Ups 2019
Each year the club arranges some meet-ups at a selection of local park-runs. These are free organised runs from a huge variety of locations throughout the UK and beyond, each starting at 9am on a Saturday. The first few of this year's meet-ups are now published on the events page. To take part you need to register on the parkrun website to get a free bar code.
The next Parkrun meet-up will be on the 19th January 2019 at Alice Holt.
Tuesday Evening Runs at Queen Elizabeth Country Park
These social runs are held on selected Tuesdays starting at 7pm from the main car park of Queen Elizabeth Country Park. The routes are around 5-6 miles, a bit hilly in places and the pace is relaxed with regular stops to match the pace of the slowest. Please bring a torch for the darker evenings.
The dates of upcoming runs can be found on the training page.
